Marcus Rayner is very well known in local property circles.
As this family business has grown, Marcus, as a director, has had to be much more hands on in the running of the business in recent years but his first love is on the tools as ‘the deal maker’! After 25 years in the bizz he still gets a kick out of getting a listing and making a sale. To Marcus being a realestate agent is the best fun in the world. You’ll never meet a more positive person, yep his cup is always, half full. He can be annoyingly chipper, especially in the mornings, can stir the pot with the best of them and loves a nerf gun, in office, war!! He’s a bit of a larrikin our Marcus but has a heart of gold and a more generous soul you could not meet. True story.
Having completed VCE Marcus was always going to follow in his father’s footsteps into the family business. Marcus has worked in residential sales for over 20 years with all of that time spent in the family business at First National Rayners Bacchus Marsh office.
“Its amazing the growth we have had over the 20 plus years” says Marcus “ When I started we had 4 staff over 2 locations. It was hard yards early as we were the small fish in Bacchus Marsh real estate terms. Now when you look back to see where we have come from to employing 20 staff and being the market leading agent over the last ten years its shows with a lot of hard work coupled with great service you can accomplish anything.”
Whilst Graeme, Marcus’s father is still active in the business Marcus became the officer in effective control in 1997. Marcus works along side his wife Leanne making Rayner First National a true family business.
Over the years Marcus has built up an impressive portfolio of clients through repeat business and referrals.
Many of his clients have written glowing testimonials, praising him for his in-depth local knowledge, excellent sales negotiation techniques, and understanding of his client’s individual needs, coupled with his natural ability to minimise the stress of buying and selling a home.
A new challenge, Marcus is now focusing on Commercial property in a field he saw was severely lacking attention in the Moorabool shire. He hopes commercial vendors and landlords can look forward to some high quality service an advice from a dedicated commercial team.
Marcus enjoys spending his spare time with family and friends, traveling, supporting the San Francisco 49ers and gardening.
