James Nielsen

Rentals Manager

Calling Tasmania home since the age of four, James is now a Kingston local, with parents living in the Channel region. His love for the area can be illustrated through his landscape photography, and his wide-ranging interests, from bushwalking to motor sport, means James can engage and maintain meaningful relationships with people from all walks of life. James brings a wealth of skills and experience to the Rentals Team. Having graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in English and Media Studies, he started his career in public relations working for the State Library, but has since worked in a diverse range of fields from sales with Qantas Airways, to financial administration with the State Government. James’ love of architecture, design and sales eventually led him to real estate where he has been honing his skills for the last five years. It is this diverse skill set, along with a strong financial and communications acumen, and his genuine love of people, that sees him uniquely qualified to ensure your asset management needs will be met.

I have found Helen and her team (James and Katrina) to be professional, diligent, honest, communicative (even after hours) and knowledgeable of the Hobart market. I recommend First National in regards to selling property but also as Property Managers, Helen and her team have managed my properties and have made me feel at ease in all aspects of my dealings with them.
