My husband, Rick, and I moved to the Camden Haven from Orange in 2014. A colleague at work had holidayed here and was raving about the place. I went online to find out more, showed my husband, we came up for a weekend with my mother and fell in love with the place. My mother made the move first. We found a unit online for her through First National North Haven. We were astounded by the level of service given by the agency, during and after the sale. They went out of their way to help us out and recommend contractors, so the unit would be ready for mum. Then it was time for us to resign our jobs. I was working in local government and was looking to work once we moved. Rick decided to semi-retire. After our first experience, of course, we looked to First National North Haven to buy a home for us. After we settled in, I sent my resume to Stewart, hoping he might be able to share it with his network. Nola, the office manager and Stewart’s partner, contacted me to see if I was experienced in reception work. I began by working life as a real estate receptionist, before progressing on to human resources and local government. I said, ‘I’m your girl.’ I’ve been extremely happy from the word go. It’s a vibrant, fast-paced environment in the office and I enjoy learning off my colleagues daily. Stewart and Nola are great mentors. They see qualities in each person and make sure each team member’s individual skills suit their role with room to grow and develop. The agency’s integrity and honesty were what first impressed me when we had our first buying experience with the team. There is compassion and a genuine-ness here. It’s a diverse range of people who walk through our doors and they’re making some big decisions. Each person is treated with equal respect and listened to so that each client’s experience is personalised. Rick and I love living here. There is a real friendliness, this place just makes me feel happy.
